Real estate projects have always been booming in New York City, but through foreign investments, projects like The Barclay, Hudson Yards, and Atlantic Yards have come into existence. Through federal visa program known as EB-5, foreigners are able to invest $500,000 into projects in exchange for legal immigration status.

While the demand for visas has increased dramatically over the most recent years, Congress is looking to address some concerns of the EB-5 visa program. Looking to get an expert’s feedback, the NY Times reached out to MSA’s Mona Shah, ESQ.
