USCIS EB-5 Statistics Shows High Approval Rate

USCIS has released the fourth (4th) quarter statistics recently for Fiscal Year 2014 for I-526 and I-829 Immigrant Petitions by Alien Entrepreneurs. For I-526, in 2013, a total of 6,346 petitions were received and entered into the case tracking system. 3,699 cases were approved, and 7,131 cases were pending. In the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2014 (July – September 2014), the USCIS has received 3,240 petitions. 1,100 petitions were approved, and 73 were denied. According to the latest statistics released, the I-526 approval rate has reached all-time high 94%! That’s great news for the EB-5 investors and projects. Please see the USCIS statistics below.

For I-829 petitions, in 2013, a total of 1,217 petitions were received and entered into the case tracking system. 844 cases were approved, and 1,345 cases were left pending. In the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2014 (July – September 2014), USCIS had received 977 petitions. 642 petitions were approved, and 48 were denied. The most updated I-829 approval rate from the fourth quarter of 2014 is 93%. The USCIS statistics are attached below.

Statistics show that the number of petitions have almost doubled from 2013 to 2014

The number of submitted I-526 petitions almost doubled. The pending I-526 cases increased from 7,131 in 2013 to 12,453 in 2014. In 2013, the USCIS had received 6,346 petitions. In 2014, they have received 10,928 petitions. The USCIS has also processed 38% more I-526 petitions than last year. In 2013, the USCIS has approved 3,699 petitions. In 2014, they have approved 5,115.

Petitions and approvals for I-829 have nearly doubled since 2013. In 2013, the USCIS has received 1,217 petitions. In 2014, they have received 2516 petitions. The USCIS has approved 844 petitions in 2013. In 2014, they have approved 1603 petitions. The Service has processed 47% more I-829 petitions than last year.
