October and November, 2018 are busy months for the EB-5 industry. EB-5 conferences and seminars are popping up around the globe. Such conferences are the best way to meet and network with industry specialists, wealth managers and even individual investors. Most of the conferences feature educational panels moderated by professionals experienced in the EB-5 Program, business exhibitions and various networking opportunities. Events sometimes also feature special guest speakers, to spice things up. Some key events include the following:

The past 2018 EB-5 Expo Mumbai on October 6, 2018 was EB5 Investors Magazine’s second successful annual event in India. They hosted a gathering of international migration agencies, immigration attorneys, EB-5 service providers and regional centers/developers.
Mumbai has been, arguably, the marketing hotspot of the year. The location is impeccable, being the largest city in India with a significant number of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), making it a natural hub for EB-5 within Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
BLS Media’s Global Investment Immigration Summit 2018

2018 AILA & IIUSA EB-5 Industry Forum

This is the first time American Immigration Lawyers Associations (AILA) is joining forces with Invest in USA (IIUSA) on educating the audience on the EB-5 Program. The Forum is open to the public (also the first time for an AILA event to be open to the nonmembers), and all of the major industry players will be there.
Newly appointed IPO Chief Sarah Kendall will be delivering a keynote address, and she is likely to shed light on the direction she plans to take the Agency. Charlie Oppenheim, Chief of the Visa Control and Reporting Division, U.S. Department of State, will also be a featured speaker, sharing his most recent analysis of current trends and future projections for the visa waiting lines and Final Action Dates. The Realtors’ Conference & Expo is the real estate industry’s largest trade show, with over 400 exhibitors. EB-5 traditionally heavily features real estate, and EB-5 arguably is still the cheapest alternative capital on the market for real estate developers seeking to fill in the gap in the capital stack.

BLS Global’s Citizenship Expo
When: November 1-3, 2018 Where: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre(ADNEC), Abu Dhabi, UAE
This is the third edition of the Citizenship Expo and the tenth edition of the International Real Estate & Investment Show (IREIS 2018). It is the ONLY dedicated real estate event in Abu Dhabi that targets investors and consumers rather than trade visitors. UAE is another hub for EB-5 in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), gathering expatriates from around the world that live and work there.
The Expo is supported by Federation Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi.
Entrepreneur & Investor Immigration Summit 2018
When: November 27 -28, 2018 Where: Shaw Center, 55 Colonel By Dr, Ottawa, ON, Canada
This annual summit is hosted by the Conference Board of Canada, the largest not-for-profit, non-partisan research organization in Canada, which frequently provides research reports to both government institutions and private enterprises. Mona Shah, Esq. has been invited alongside Austin Fragomen from Fragomen, and Bob Kraft from IIUSA to represent the U.S. and speak on EB-5.
